I design and write a complete, professional website for you, whether you are a counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist or offer a similar service. This includes a 5–6 page Squarespace website (such as Home, About me, Services, FAQ, Useful Links, Contact), a cohesive design with your choice of colours and fonts, and thoughtfully written copy that reflects your voice and therapeutic approach.
Your website will also include clear navigation, one image per page, a contact form, and mobile optimisation so it works beautifully on both phone and desktop.
Do I need to pay for hosting separately?
Yes. The fee you pay me is for designing and creating your website.
You’ll need a subscription with Squarespace, which typically costs around £12–£16 per month (in 2026), cheaper with annual plans. This covers hosting, security and ongoing access to your website.
How long does it take to build my website?
Your website is usually ready to go live within 1–2 weeks.
We begin with a short call or email exchange to understand your needs. I’ll then create your first draft, and you’ll have the opportunity to request one round of edits before final approval and launch.
Do you write the website copy for me?
Yes , I write and edit your website content in a way that feels natural, clear and aligned with your voice, so you don’t have to struggle with what to say or how to say it. I have been writing about mental health for many years, and since I am a trained counsellor and psychotherapist myself, I am familiar with the concepts and language we use.
You can also send me your own text and copy if you prefer. It is good to differentiate it from any profile listing as Google doesn’t like direct repetition. I can draw from this to create your copy.
Will my website be optimised for Google (SEO)?
Yes, your website includes a standard SEO setup to support visibility on Google.
This includes clear page structure, headings, and properly placed keywords relevant to therapists and counsellors, psychologists etc, in your field and area.
I also provide guidance on submitting your site to Google so it can begin appearing in search results. The PDF I provide has an SEO checklist, if you want to edit your site later or add more pages.
Will my website work on mobile phones?
Yes. Your website will be fully mobile-optimised, so it looks and works beautifully on phones, tablets and desktops.
This is essential, as many potential clients will view your site on their phone, more than 60% on average.
How much does a domain name cost?
Your domain (website address or URL) is purchased separately through Squarespace and typically costs around £16 for two years in 2026.
I can guide you through this and help you choose the right domain, and make sure your site is pointing to the right place!
I’m a technophobe, Will you walk me through it?
Yes! I’ll coach you through the whole process, gathering your information, getting set up on Squarespace, registering your URL, then we will transfer your website site for your complete ownership.
Will I be able to update my website myself?
Yes. I use Squarespace because it’s simple and user-friendly.
Once your website is live, you’ll be able to make updates yourself, and I’ll provide guidance via zoom if wished, and a PDF to help you feel confident doing this.
Can you help me set up my domain to appear on Google listings?
Yes. I provide support with domain setup and guidance on submitting your website to Google so it can be indexed and found in search results.
Do you add a map to my Contact page?
Yes, just give me your address.
Can I add a blog to my website?
Yes, I can set up a blog for you so you can write posts yourself, or you can set it up yourself afterwards.
If you’d like to get a blog started, I can also create SEO-friendly blog posts for you for an extra fee.
Can clients book appointments through my website?
Your basic website will have a contact form and map of your local area.
And yes, I can set up the well known scheduling tool Acuity, which is integrated with Squarespace, so clients can book directly through your website. They charge for this service, and I charge and extra set up fee, or you can do this yourself after your website is created.
Can I have more than 5–6 pages?
Yes. If you offer multiple services or work with different client groups, additional pages can be added. This can also support your visibility on Google by targeting more specific search terms related to counselling, psychotherapy, psychology and other therapies. Additional pages have an extra fee, please see above or just ask.

Do you provide images for the website?
Each page includes one image in this package, either your own (like one of yourself and your practice room) or carefully chosen stock images that align with your work and aesthetic. I can choose these for you if you let me know your theme.
Can I customise my website colours and fonts?
Yes! This is the fun part of web design! Let me know the colours you prefer, and whether you prefer classic, modern, traditional, bright, muted, calm, etc. I’ll give you some options if you aren’t sure.
What happens after my website is finished?
Once your website is approved, I'll publish it, and transfer ownership to you.
You’ll also receive helpful guidance on next steps, including how to submit your site to Google and begin building your online presence.
